Details
Golden Hour needed a performant, scalable, and easily editable website to showcase their concepts, philosophy, and event offerings. I was in charge of designing and developing the entire platform, from the frontend to the CMS architecture.
The main objective was to give full autonomy to the internal team so they could manage all content without developer intervention — concepts, images, meta-descriptions, FAQs, partnerships, etc.
Role
- Built the entire website using Next.js App Router
- Designed a custom Strapi CMS with collections for concepts, articles, FAQs, and more
- Implemented a dynamic routing system based on CMS content
- Set up a fully decoupled architecture for performance and flexibility
- Integrated responsive layouts and mobile-first design
- Improved accessibility, SEO, and lighthouse performance scores
- Developed reusable components and layouts to allow content scaling
- Created helper tools and Strapi components for structured data (e.g., concept cards, CTAs, overlays)
- Managed hosting and CI/CD pipeline with Vercel
What I did
- Custom CMS content models: concepts, articles, images, team members, FAQs, partnerships
- Optimized SEO: dynamic metadata, open graph image generator, canonical URLs
- Created several page templates: homepage, concept list/detail, about, contact, blog
- Developed a responsive image system with overlays and alt text auto-injection from Strapi
- Implemented rich content zones (text, cards, illustrations, quotes) editable via the CMS
- Added structured data and best practices for accessibility and performance
- Developed a clean & modular component system using TailwindCSS and ShadCN style
- Deployed infrastructure, implemented observability + monitoring
- Setup backup (cron + snapshots)
In short
Fully editable website
Everything visible on the site — including home sections, FAQs, articles, metadata, and even the layout of concept pages — is editable via a structured and user-friendly CMS dashboard.
Immersive design
A strong focus was put on visual identity, responsiveness, and storytelling through image + text combinations. The goal was to reflect the immersive experience of their real-life events.
CMS-Driven
By using Strapi, I gave full autonomy to the Golden Hour team to manage all content, allowing fast iteration and scalability without relying on tech support.
